Real estate in South Brisbane has a new face.
If you have ever looked toward the city and wondered what that stand-alone building with observatory on it is, then you probably haven't been to Highgate Hill.
The building is of course Torbreck, Brisbane's first highrise development and the centrepiece of the coveted Dornoch Terrace. It's not until you look out from Torbreck's rooftop observatory or out from the deck of a hillside Queenslander that you realise why this was the first place the developers decided to capitalise on a high-density development.
It is hard to believe that you are less than 2kms from the CBD as Highgate Hill still enjoys the quiet prevalence of residential use that is much loved by the locals. From up here you can turn 360 degrees and it feels like you're only a stones throw away from the ranges of Mount Cootha and the University of Queensland on one side, with neighbouring West End down the hill and Brisbane's City Skyline on the other. Highgate Hill offers a range of different property types and shares the rich culture and diversity of West End, so there is always a strong demand for everything from the traditional Queenslanders, city view apartments to prestigious riverside homes in the avenues known as 'Hill End'. 4101 It's a totally unique place and that's why I love to live and work here.
